Been way busy, and I’m not in the clear yet. I’ve had a powerpoint presentation due this week and a research paper due on Monday. (At least I worked it so the topics were pretty close. Both are on Software Engineering for NASA.)

Some other good news though. I’ve been talking to a company called TellMe. They’re a subsidiary of Microsoft. One cool part is that a friend of mine works there as well. (He might be over me if I get the job… eek) The company deals with voice automation systems. The website describes how it works on the consumer side best. On the enterprise side they manage the voice-prompts for companies like American Airlines and Wells Fargo.

They are also looking to jump into other similar markets as well. It sounds like a fun job. I like the fact that I can be creative and that I can code. I don’t get to use my Japanese, but I guess there is another guy there who speaks it. That’s a plus. Either way, I think when I finish my Masters I’m going to take some time off to study Japanese. I want to continue to my Ph.D. but I’m not sure I’m ready for the commitment right away.

We’ll see. Either way, I need to finish that paper first.. so… off to more work. Blah.
