I haven’t been posting a lot, and I’m not really sure why. I guess that I just don’t know what to say or that I don’t really know who is reading this and I am unsure what information really should be conveyed. Somewhere along the way I guess I stopped writing this for myself. I think some of it has to do with being married… since our lives are so intertwined, and she’s somewhat private, I’m afraid to say more than I should. Well, more than she wants known I guess. So, a lot of my silence is due to that.
Christmas was good. I was given a really nice backpack for my laptop, as well as a couple video games (Devil May Cry 3 and Aeon Flux) and a movie (Serenity). DMC3 is really good, but really tough. I haven’t gotten past mission three yet… perhaps the only annoying part of the game is how they have missions. You can save whenever you want, but you can only start at the beginning of the mission. So I keep running to the end with the big-bad-boss™ and getting my ass handed to me… and then having to run to the end all over again. Make it kinda tiring. The backpack is really nice. It has compartment for my laptop as well as places for everything else. It’s also really comfortable and really sturdy. It’s nice being able to put my laptop in there (Arwen as I called it) and not worry about it getting scratched. (In case your curious, 3.2GHZ desktop is Strider, and my second desktop (the 2.8ghz) is Aragorn, with my other laptop (the 15 inch desknote) being called StriderA). My little brother gave me a cool clock that gets the temp inside and outside as well as sets itself from the atomic radio signal. My dad gave me a gift cert for a steak house as well as a $100 gift certificate visa credit card. (yea.. wow!) Steve Wyall gave me Dragon Warrior 4… (The story behind that is I used to have a brand new copy when it first came out. After letting him borrow it, it was pretty dead.) It’s pretty cool, but I don’t have my NES anymore… also, I can play it on my PSP using an emulator. 😛
For new years we went to a brewery downtown to meet up with some of Tina’s friends. The food was good, but the whole new years thing was kinda slow. They played music and stuff, but the whole new year thing was just them turning down the music to count (5, 4, 3, 2, 1… yay!) and then the music was back on. (They didn’t even count right.. it was supposed to be 5, 4, 3, 2, 1, 1, Yay! Gosh! If you don’t get it, search the web on the extra second of 2005) But yea, no huge party, but it was alright.
As for what’s coming up, starting this weekend I’ll be on night shift. (11pm to 7am) and I”ll be a dispatcher, which means I’ll be in charge of the shift… well.. second in charge, but in charge none-the-less. I also start school again on the 9th. German, Geology, and Brit Lit. So if you’re looking for me online, best bet is late in the evening or first thing in the morning before I go to bed.
Also… Everquest… I’m lvl 32 wizard now. 🙂 Fun stuff. A lot has changed from when I last played… one thing being how fast I can level up and get around. As a wizard I can port anywhere, so that never bothered me, but I sure level fast these days.
Anyway, that’s my update.. Hope it was worthwhile.
