Latest information…
If you read my wifes journal, you should know by now that I am on the list to be deployed again. Blarg. Good news is that I’ll be going to Kuwait to do support instead of doing convoys in Iraq again. Rumor also says that it’ll only be four months versus the six we were expecting. I should be leaving in December. However, this is mostly rumor, so any or all of this information may change.
The other good news is that this means I should have enough time to finish Calc and get my package ready for my commission. While I know I won’t stay in the AF much longer, the pay increase will be much loved. Here’s hoping for the best.
In other news, my leave starts on Tuesday and I’ll be going to SLC, Utah on Wednesday. I’m looking forward to much of fun and dbs for all. π I can SO not wait for this. I so need a break.
Some interesting stuff… slashdot had this article about a new Full Conversion for HL2 called Eclipse that was created by some students at SMU’s Guildhall. Very good artwork on this and it runs pretty smoothly. I found a few bugs already, but it should be expected with any first release.
Mr. and Ms. Smith was a good show as well. Angelina Jolie in black leather and lingerie is always ++ π (don’t tell my wife I said that.. *hides*) Then again, my wife in black leather and lingerie is ++ as well π That aside, it did have a fairly good (if somewhat unbelievable) plot. You should go see it. *gives it StriderA’s stamp of approval*
Anyway, I had to wake up way early this morning to drive Tina to work so she could find out that she didn’t work, and then spend the rest of the day trying to fix the car that just came from the shop and get it inspected. (We did get it to pass safty, even though one thing should have technically been a failure, but he was nice. It would have been fixed but I didn’t have enough time before our trip to do so. Also, since I haven’t had the convertable for a month or so, I decided to go cruizing with the top down all day… and got a nice sunburn all over my face and arms. Stupid me. Oh well, maybe it’ll turn into a tan before I go home.
Well, I’ll post more later. Take care.
Matt
