Christmas…
The only thing that told me it was Christmas was the calendar. It rained all day here, more rain than I have seen before. If you went anywhere, you came back covered in mud. It was unavoidable. I did get a box from Tina which was nice. It held some books and treats. One of the books is Bridge to Terabithia that I mentioned earlier… (too drained to link to it…)
I woke up and checked my email. They were all about work. So I worked all morning. I did do something for myself and after lunch watched the first 20 episodes of Stellvia of the Universe. I’m going to buy this one on dvd when I can. It helped cheer me up some. Well, it helped the day pass anyways.
There were things I wanted to do today… but I couldn’t bring myself to sit down and spend the time to do them. I almost didn’t write this. I’m not sure if it’s just me being out here or just me missing friends and family… or something else entirely. I don’t think it’s Christmas since I never even got into the Christmas Spirit or even expected anything from it. I tried to give where I could, but it’s so hard to do anything with such limited resources and time.
Either way, this is the price I pay for doing what I feel is right.
I hope you had a good Christmas. I hope the spirit encompassed you and made you happy. I hope you had some joy today.
Take care of yourself and I wish you the best. As of now, I’m just waiting for the month to pass. Nothing else.
Matt
