Learning what you need to know…
DI, QUIBUS IMPERIUM EST ANIMARUM, UMBRAEQUE SILENTES, ET CHAOS, ET PHLEGETHON, LOCA NOCTE TACENTIA LATE, SIT MIHI FAS AUDITA LOQUI, SIT NUMINE VESTRO PANDERE RES ALTA TERRA ET CALIGINE MERSAS. – VIRGILI AENEIDOS, LIBER SEXTUS
You gods who hold dominion over spirits; you voiceless Shades; you, Phlegethon and Chaos, immense and soundless reigns of the night: allow me to retell what I was told; allow me by your power to disclose things buried in the dark and deep of the earth!
-The Aeneid of Virgil, Book Six, 266-7
Caught my attention reading about the DeCSS haiku and found the translation here at this scary site.
On a side note… I think you can learn everything you need to know from music. In the song, What’s My Age Again, by Blink 182, they say Nobody likes you when you’re 23. Well now.. that explains everything! No wonder nobody liked me last year! 🙁
Anyways.. on a positive note… My intro to C++ teacher approached me and told me “you won’t learn anything in this class and it’s a waste of your time so if you want I’ll give you the test and that will be it.” So I guess I’m going to take the test and get out of the class. Ironically, this is the same thing that happened at ITT Tech. Oh well.
My wife, dagger-garnet, had a job interview today and might have a job by the end of the week. Horray for money! I love her soooo much 🙂
And well, I’m tired. I didn’t sleep well so I’m going to go do stuff to stay awake.. I hope. Take care.
Matt
