Aubree…
I spent all night with Aubree, and I haven’t had such a nice night in a long time. We went to the library, and then to get my car. (The belt tensioner collapsed.. cost $200… thank god I have a cool brother!)
I just wanted to say…. for anyone who doesn’t really know Aubree… or me that well. I’ve known her for about 3 years. We’ve been best friends for almost all of that time. Aubree really is the most beautiful girl I know. She’s smart, talented, etc. She really is a goddess. And, I truly believe, she is probably one of the most perfect girls I know. I love her with all my heart and soul and would do anything for her. She’s taught me what it was to love and to feel pain. How to kiss, cry, smile, laugh, and sigh. I really would take her with me in a heartbeat if she would go.
She also taught me a lesson I will never forget again. True love is a truly rare gift. When you find it, there is nothing that could even come close to taking it’s place, except true sorrow. I had the world in my hands. I had my love, and I neglected it. You really don’t know what you have until it’s gone, and I swear, by god, if I ever get the chance to be one with Aubree again, I won’t neglect it this time. I won’t question or mistrust. And I definitely won’t let anything get in the way of us being together. I lost her once, I definitely won’t let it happen again…
But for now, I guess I have to be content being her best friend,
Also, here is a story I made up for Aubree. I’m sure you’ll get the point of it.
Once upon a time, there was a farmer. He live a decent life. He wasn’t rich, but he wasn’t poor either. Anyways, as tales always go, this farmer went out to his chicken coop one morning, and noticed one of the hens laid a golden egg. At first he thought this must be a joke, but he took it in and decided to get it looked at anyways. After studying it, he learned that it truly was gold! This was enough to supply him and his family with everything they needed for a whole year! Anyways, the next morning, he went out and found another golden egg under the same hen. Overjoyed, he took this hen away from the rest. He started feeding it the best food, and water. This went on for a week. The farmer, was taking the gold and buying everything he ever dreamed of. The newest tractors. Really nice stereos and tvs. And it got to the point where the farmers greed got the better of him. He knew that if you scared the other chickens, it made them lay eggs faster in fright. He decided to sneak up on that sleeping hen, and screamed loudly to scare her into laying more golden eggs than one a day. However, the frightened hen did not lay another golden egg, instead it started running around and flapping it’s wings in fright. In it’s mad flight, it got tangled up in a chicken wire fence and strangled itself to death. The farmer was horrified! And in the end, he had all these nice tractors and equipment, but w/o his constant income, there was no way for him to fuel and maintain them. And with all his saved money spent, he ended up selling all his precious equipment and returning to the life he knew. Getting by all right… not rich, but not poor. But you see… he had everything he dreamed of. His fortune… total financial security… and he lost it all. That’s what will always haunt him… knowing he had it all, and he himself ruined it. That is why he is sad. And that is why he will never cheapen a gift so great again, if he ever receives another chance. Life is a hard teacher. It always gives the lesson after the test. It’s not until after you fail that you know the answers. But that is life… and you can’t give up on it. Stay strong everyone. And I’ll try to myself.
