Party party paaaaarty!
Whee! I’m online, on my computer! Took long enough. Went through three modems before I gave up and got my nice 3com 56K PCI modem back from Alex. Popped that in and it worked great. π
Yesterday was the Halloween party Nick, Aubree, Steve, and I (kinda) planned. Me and Aubree wrote most of the invitation. I liked it. *grin* It went like this:
Left flap:
Over many a quaint and curious volume of forgotten lore,
While I nodded, nearly napping, suddenly there came a tapping,
As of some one gently rapping, rapping at my chamber door.
“‘Tis some visitor,” I muttered, “tapping at my chamber door-
Only this, and nothing more.”
—
And the Raven, never flitting, still is sitting, still is sitting
On the pallid bust of Pallas just above my chamber door;
And his eyes have all the seeming of a demon’s that is dreaming,
And the lamplight o’er him streaming throws his shadow on the
floor;
And my soul from out that shadow that lies floating on the floor
Shall be lifted- nevermore!
Right Flap:
Apparently, quite a few people had to use the “idiots” portion of it. π My other friends said I could have made it better but I did write it in only 5 mins… *shrug* Anyways, so the party has come and gone, and I’m quite pleased to say it went like a charm. We invited around 40 people, but we only had about 20 show up, which was all right because it was still packed as it was. We took my tv over and hooked Aubs DVD player up to it and had movies upstairs, we had a video game room in nicks room, a sepa game going on in another room, and the food and dancing/pool were in the downstairs main room(frontroom?). It was really fun. I dressed up as a female alien going to the prom. Wore a dress and a mask. Because of the dancing and stuff.. (A few people thought they would take me on with my practice swords.. (snicker) poor bastards…) I took mine off and went as Photon, a anime character who is most known for the katakana characters baka on his forehead. (I also got two wives because of that! *grin* In the show, if he writes the baka on anothers forehead, they are married. π And thus enters Tina. She was one of my wives, and I can’t remember the other girls, because she left early. Tina was fun though. She danced with me and we ended up watching a movie with her on my lap. (It was because there wasn’t enough room for both of us to sit… honest!) *grin* I’m going to call her up tomorrow and see what she’s up to, and possibly hang out with her. I’m not going to get into any serious relationships anymore since my imminent departure, so I’ll just have some .. “Fun?” relationships until then. Make new friends, go on dates with different people just to have a good time basically. I’ll keep you informed on that side of things
Nagi’s asleep, which is good, I ‘spose. It is 5:30 am for her.. *hehe* I hope she gets on soon, I want to say hi now that I have my own computer running. *grin* I miss her.
Aubs is prob asleep as well… We’re still good friends, and we will always be. Our friendship has already been forged in the fires of hell, and it’s strong as ever. I’m not dating her, having her as a friend is the best I can ask for right now. Who knows, maybe we’re both better off this way.
Anyways, I’m going to go immerse myself online for a little bit to see if I can remember how this internet thing works. π Talk to ya’s later.
Matt
